Credit card cash advances

Credit card cash advances means that people get cash from their credit card account instead of their bank account.

People can borrow cash using a credit card in two ways: first, by using a cash machine and secondly, over the counter in a bank or a building society. There is usually a charge of the amount of the cash advance.

Interest is usually charged as soon as the money has been advanced, unlike purchases made with a credit card, where there is usually an interest-free period.
