The City

The City' is London's financial district.

It is in fact the square mile (more or less) of the old City of London. The Square Mile is synonymous with finance, and has been so for hundreds of years.

It includes such institutions as the London Stock Exchange, the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE), Lloyds of London, and The Bank of England.
