BBA response to CP12/26: Regulatory reform: the PRA and FCA regimes for Approved Persons

The BBA has responded to FSA CP 12/26 proposing changes to the handbooks which are principally a mechanical consequence of the replacement of the FSA by the two new authorities.
The consultation paper indicates an understanding on the part of the authorities of the case for streamlining the application process where a change in role is involved; our responses to the specific questions raised in the consultation paper indicate ways in which we believe this could be built upon and also explains our disquiet at the potential loss of information on the public register under the proposed approach.
