BBA Submission in response to CP12/3 - Section 13 Money Advice Service levies 2012/13
30/03/2012
This submission deals only with section 13 of the consultation in respect of the proposed levies for the Money Advice Service (MAS) for 2012/13. We will not be responding to the remainder of the consultation paper.
The BBA is responding to the proposed funding needs of the MAS without having had the opportunity to consider the detailed and separate business plans and budgets for MAS’ money advice and debt advice work. We understand that the MAS is under no statutory obligation to consult upon its business plan, but believe it is difficult for stakeholders to make informed comment on MAS’ levy rates if the detail of how funds are to be spent is not available.
