The BBA is now integrated into UK Finance. Please go to www.ukfinance.org.uk for new content and updates from UK Finance.
Material published by BBA prior to 1st July 2017 is still available on this website.
From 1 July 2017, the finance and banking industry operating in the UK will be represented by a new trade association, UK Finance. It will represent around 300 firms in the UK providing credit, banking, markets and payment-related services. The new organisation will take on most of the activities previously carried out by the Asset Based Finance Association, the British Bankers’ Association, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Financial Fraud Action UK, Payments UK and the UK Cards Association.x
The BBA’s Wholesale Team seeks to ensure the BBA is effectively engaging on key regulatory and reputational issues on behalf of its major wholesale members with operations in the UK.
The BBA represents the interests of more than 240 member organisations with a worldwide presence in 180 countries. With our members, we engage with political and regulatory stakeholders to improve their knowledge and understanding of the benefits that London’s position as a major centre for wholesale banking brings.
Members are provided with opportunities to engage directly with senior regulators, politicians and policy makers and to input into the BBA’s consultation responses. They are also invited to the BBA’s high profile events in the UK and Brussels. This ensures that the views of this critical banking constituency are heard at the highest levels within the decision-making process.
