Nationwide Apprenticeship Programme

Nationwide started taking on apprentices in 2013 and the scheme already spans a broad range of disciplines and UK regions. New recruits can gain experience in a number of different departments ranging from the Nationwide’s treasury to their contact centres, IT department and branch network.

Nationwide is helping to support the UK workforce of the future by significantly increasing the number of apprentice opportunities it is providing in 2015 by 400%.

The programme is open to everyone above the age of 16, as well as those starting a new career. As part of their role, the apprentices are given real jobs and will also work towards a formal NVQ qualification.

In Nationwide 2015 will take on 15 Higher Apprentices and 80 Advanced Apprentices.

  • Advanced Apprenticeships involve working towards an NVQ level 3 over a period of one year.
  • Higher Apprenticeships involve working towards a degree over 3-5 years.
