Credit data, risk and regulatory policies

Getting the right credit data framework and regulatory frameworks to support business finance is essential. The BBA is working with its members and the credit reference agencies under Business Information Providers Association (BIPA) to review the manner in which further work can be done to improve business credit analysis and information flows. In 2013 we have worked with BIPA on the HMRC consultation on Sharing and publishing data for public benefit and published the Guide to Credit scoring for businesses

We are currently working with the Government on credit data sharing and how that operates and will be responding to the recently published consultation on this.

As part of our work in Europe we have actively participated in the reviews on credit agencies and data transparency.
