Know Fraud No Fraud

This leaflet was put together by the BBA alongside UK retail banks, law enforcement and consumer groups. It provides vital tips on how to tell the difference between an approach from a fraudster and a genuine communication from a bank.

This includes new advice like “8 things your bank will NEVER ask you to do” (but a fraudster might).

The leaflet also highlights some of the most prevalent scams targeting bank customers, and gives vivid descriptions of the techniques used alongside a selection of real life case studies. There is also practical information on what a customer should do if they fear they have become a victim of fraud.

Copies of the Leaflet can be obtained by completing the order form and returning it with payment to the BBA.
